Start: End: Location: Online
Event type:
  • Career in Academia and Beyond
  • Karriere innerhalb und außerhalb der Wissenschaft
  • For doctoral researchers
  • Für Promovierende
  • Workshop
Through practical exercises on the development of third-party funded projects, mutual feedback for short proposals and info-inputs on the funding landscape, participants gain important knowledge and key competencies for writing successful funding proposals.

The core of the workshop is a mini-proposal, which the participants develop during the two-day workshop and for which they give each other feedback as reviewers.

In the workshop, the participants take on the position of both applicants and reviewers and, through this change of perspective, are able to gain a thorough understanding of what makes a good proposal.

The practical exercises are accompanied by an introductory overview of the topic of third-party funding in the postdoc phase. After this workshop, participants will have gained important knowledge and developed key skills for their (first) own proposal.

The seminar is aimed at young researchers from all disciplines who are either in the late phase of their doctorate or have already completed their doctorate.

Important note: Please keep the afternoon/evening free on the first workshop day after 2 pm! You will need this time for a preparatory task for participation in the second workshop day.
