Successful research today is characterized by openness, transparency and participation. Skills in public communication of research are relevant for career planning inside and outside the university, but also for successful funding applications in the national and international context. An engaged dialogue with non-academic stakeholders is a particular challenge for young scientists.

The interactive and practical workshop introduces the added value, goals, and responsibilities of public communication of one's own research and presents specific tips and techniques for the practical implementation of an individual communication strategy.

In addition, the workshop presents examples of dialogue-oriented formats that can be used in cooperation with citizens or decision-makers. Through a mixture of content inputs, discussions, and practical exercises, participants will learn specific tools for the successful presentation of their own research and test approaches for the exchange with different target groups.
