Junior professors and junior group leaders are invited to develop advanced skills to lead teams successfully in a competitive environment. Leading researchers should always try to improve their communication skills, understand group dynamics, reflect their leadership behavior and know how to use feedback in order to deliver a successful performance.
Contents of the workshop are:
- Responsibility for Leadership and Supervision
- Leadership tasks, styles and values
- Leadership and Supervisionremote/from home office
- Self-and responsibility management: balance time, tasks,roles and interests, define own goals
- Leading a working group: Managing interests of differentgroup members, enabling good scientific practice, describe scientific goals of your group and manage group dynamics + conflicts
- Represent your own position in the faculty: conduct negotiations(Harvard principles), use networks
