The training workshop "Clear communication for funding applications" offers an introduction to the basic principles of writing project applications with a specific focus on communication and language use. Applying for funding is a competitive process. Strategic planning starting from the selection of the appropriate funding instrument to the consistent structuring and appropriate language use of the proposal text can be factors to increase the chances of receiving funding.

- Strategies for selecting a suitable funding instrument for a project idea
- An introduction to the principles of the planning process as well as proposal structuring and design
- Insights into the review process and the reading behaviour of reviewers
- Strategies to convince reviewers of the relevance and importance of a research idea and to win them as advocates.

The workshop will be held online in two consecutive sessions and will take place on October 16 and 20, 2023, from 09:30 to 13:30.
