Current event program

Here you will find the current program of events of the Graduate Center TU Dortmund and the Research Academy Ruhr for transferable skills training, sorted by target groups, and information on offers from other providers at TU Dortmund University. All formats also offer participants the opportunity to network with each other and exchange experiences.

Participation in the events is free of charge.

Usually, the offers for doctoral researchers are only addressed to members of the TU Dortmund University. In case of free capacities, participation of doctoral researchers from other UA Ruhr universities is also possible.

The approx. 1.5-hour networking format Junior Faculty Impuls usually takes place every 2-3 months. Current dates can be found here in good time.

Research Support Services

In the series Forschung fördern (“Supporting research”), the Research Support Services present the wide range of services offered by the TU Dortmund University to support your research activities. Usually on Tuesdays from 12:15 p.m. a 30 to 45-minute lecture awaits you, followed by an opportunity for questions and discussions with the lecturers and the staff of the Research Support Services.

Center for Higher Education (zhb) – Department of Foreign Languages

The Department of Foreign Languages of the Center for Higher Education (zhb) is responsible for the teaching of foreign languages at the academic level for students of non-philological disciplines and also acts as a contact within the university for questions concerning the acquisition of foreign and specialist languages.
The department offers the possibility of a qualified foreign language education on different levels in currently 14 modern foreign languages.

Center for Higher Education (zhb) – Department of Academic Teaching & Department Development

The Department of Academic Teaching & Department Development of the Center for Higher Education (zhb) sees itself as a contribution to the development of academic teaching culture and a place of interdisciplinary exchange. Continuing education in didactically informed teaching competence interacts with university didactic research and development as well as advice and supervision.
