  • Workshop
The course offers participants (PhD students & postdocs) an overview of entrepreneurial methods and frames them in the process of business model development and company founding.

During the two days of the workshop, doctoral students and postdocs will be shown methods and hints on how to transfer and commercialise their scientific know-how in other fields. Participants will learn new approaches to transfer their research, even in the early stages of their research projects.

Participants will be introduced to the concept of business modelling and other entrepreneurial canvas methods. The practical exercises will be carried out with the individual elements of the Business Model Canvas on a real idea in a group. By applying it to your own case or an idea from the group, you will learn which elements are essential to specify the idea and make it applicable.

The workshop offers enough space to work individually and to deal with personal research topics. The focus is on the phases of exchange and working together in groups.

In terms of content, participants learn the Business Model Canvas and other methods to promote their own transfer mindset, specifically to develop business ideas so that they can steer their scientific results towards commercialisation. On the workshop days, we work together collaboratively on the online whiteboard Miro.

Selected methods for entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs will be covered in depth. (Opportunity Recognition/ Future Thinking, Value Proposition Canvas, Business Model Canvas).
