Whether you are just thinking about a PhD or are already close to submitting your dissertation – DocDay is an offer for every discipline and experience level.
At DocDay, Master's students interested in doing a doctorate and doctoral researchers get the opportunity to make new contacts across department boundaries. In a variety of formats, participants can learn about professional and interdisciplinary aspects of doctoral studies.
DocDay is organized by the Graduate Center and is open to all students and early career researchers at TU Dortmund University. Participation is free of charge.
On November 4th 2022 the second Doctoral Researchers‘ Day will once again bring together PhD candidates and anyone interested in pursuing a PhD at TU Dortmund University.
Hearing condensed information, getting exciting impulses and making interesting new connections will once again be the focus of the DocDay, which revolves around all the skills and challenges associated with getting a PhD. For the first time the DocDay will be held in-person, offering participants the opportunity to make more personal connections and meet important institutions at TU Dortmund.
The program includes relevant impulses about topics like financing opportunities for your PhD, the need for a competent research data management, the challenges of publishing a dissertation and managing stress factors during the doctoral phase. Other parts include an exciting keynote and the chance to meet institutions of TU Dortmund that can support your PhD during a market of opportunities.
The DocDay is organised by the Graduate Center and is open to all people currently working on or interested in pursuing a PhD. Participation is free of charge.
