Scientific Presentation—From the Conference Talk to your Dissertation Defense

In this workshop, participants will learn how to present themselves successfully in an academic setting, how to analyze various presentation situations (including dissertation defenses) based on specific criteria in order to prepare in a targeted, structured, and effective manner and to act with confidence.
Giving presentations is an opportunity. You get to know your peers—and they get to know you, which is critical for your next career steps. I ask you to come with a 5-7-minute presentation for any situation you choose. Before doing that, we will learn and understand the following topics (amongst others):
- Preparatory criteria-based analysis of presentation situations (including thesis defense presentations)
- Dealing with (difficult) questions and follow-up questions
- Use of body language
Create betters slides and PowerPoint shows
