Time- and Selfmanagement for Doctoral Candidates

The demands placed on PhD candidates are high. The first major research project for which you bear primary responsibility comes with a wide range of challenges. Productive progress requires not only strong research skills, but also effective time and self-management as well as coherent project management. This is precisely where the workshop comes in.
In this workshop, you reflect on key principles of project management and apply them directly to your own research project. You develop a research project plan for the next six months. In addition, you explore methods for efficient and effective time and self-management in the context of doctoral studies. A central focus of the workshop is to support you in identifying which of the presented tools and strategies fit your personal working style and specific situation, and how to successfully transfer them into everyday practice.
The content focuses on fundamental methods and principles that are easy to use and designed to have a sustainable impact. The workshop also addresses strategies for constructive communication with supervisors, introduces basic aspects of academic writing competence, and explores approaches to maintaining motivation throughout the PhD process.
