Participation in the seminar will help answer the following questions:
- Why publishing? Why not publishing?
- Why do editors reject articles?
- Why do reviewers reject papers?
- What does a rejected paper tell us?
- How do I meet the editorial objectives of the journal?
- What are the criteria for a good article?
- How do I present my manuscript?
- What is the review process?
- What is the production process?
- How do I respond to feedback from the journal?
As our seminar participant, you will become more confident with
- defining your writing goals;
- finding and targeting the right journal;
- drafting a synopsis or an abstract of a paper;
- writing a focus statement section of a paper;
- editing a paper for consistency and economy of style;
- articulating implications of your research;
- advancing your literature review from the summary to the authorization stage;
- communicating with the journal
Recommended entry level: B2 or higher
